The Matmut Stadium Gerland, Lyon's historic stadium since 1926. Hub of Lyon's major sporting events across the 20th century, the Matmut Stadium was largely identified since 1950 as the Olympique Lyonnais home stadium before switching hands to the LOU Rugby in 2017. Inaugurated in 1926, the Stade de Gerland is a 35,000-seat sporting venue.
